The Update
Creator marketing is getting a performance upgrade.
Platforms are making it easier to turn creator content into paid media. Here's what that means for brands.

What's changing?
TikTok, Instagram and YouTube have all made it simpler to run creator posts as ads. With the creator's permission, a brand can boost the original post directly, from the creator's own handle.
No re-uploads. No new edits. The content that worked organically can now work as media.
Why it matters
Creator content usually looks and feels native to the feed. That tends to mean lower costs and better attention than classic brand ads.
It also changes what you are paying for. You are no longer just buying a post. You are buying a creative asset you can scale.
What to do
Add paid usage rights to every creator agreement from the start, with a clear period and platforms.
Set aside part of the campaign budget for boosting the best performing posts.
Judge creators on the content they make, not only the audience they have.
GRANN's take
The line between influencer marketing and performance marketing is disappearing. The brands that plan for both from day one will get far more out of the same content.
